On Wednesday, June 4th, The Osvita Foundation Incorporated is sponsoring its Annual Testimonial Dinner at which time it recognizes individuals or organizations for their outstanding community service, and for enhancing and supporting the promotion of Ukrainian language, culture and history.The Osvita Foundation Inc. was established in 1982 as a charitable organization and is committed to supporting excellence in education through the promotion of the English Ukrainian Bilingual Program (EUBP) and Manitoba Parents for Ukrainian Education.

At this year’s testimonial dinner the Osvita Foundation is pleased to honour Oseredok Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre for their 70 years of preserving Ukrainian cultural heritage in Canada and enriching it through educational and cultural programming. Oseredok Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre was founded in 1944 to preserve, document, present and share Ukrainian cultural heritage with Canadians. Operating a museum, art gallery, library and archives, Oseredok is recognized nationally and internationally for the breadth and scope of its collections of Ukrainian folk art, fine art, music, and community history. It creates awareness about Ukrainian heritage through rich and diverse public programming such as, exhibitions, public lectures, workshops, courses and performances. It also provides research and reference services to students, researchers and scholars, and the general public on any topic related to Ukrainian culture and heritage. For 70 years Oseredok has acted as the source for the collective memory of the Ukrainian Canadian community, maintaining, promoting and enhancing all aspects of Ukrainian heritage.

The Board of Directors of the Osvita Foundation invites you to join us in honouring Oseredok Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Centre on June 4 at Canad Inns Polo Park.

Please find enclosed a ticket order form which you may use to purchase your ticket and reserve your place at our 2014 Testimonial Dinner. Tickets may also be purchased at our office, 1215 Henderson Highway by calling in advance.
