MPUE – Job Posting for a Digital Environment Network Administrator
Manitoba Parents for Ukrainian Education (MPUE) is seeking a youth with a combination of education and / or experience in set up of Office 365, Microsoft Teams Sharepoint file structures and communication tools.
Introduction:
Manitoba Parents for Ukrainian Education (MPUE) is seeking a youth with knowledge and ability to set up, organize and establish processes for our organization’s digital world. This will enhance communication, access to information for projects, to give the board of directors more time to focus on engaging with community and external involvement.
Position Title: MPUE Digital Environment Network Administrator
Responsibilities:
- Establish a consistent digital filing system;
- Keep MPUE organization computer assets up to date, running efficiently to improve work flow for MPUE board of directors’ increased collaboration;
- Upgrade and secure digital infrastructure, monitor network for security concerns;
- Establish ways for all board members to access mpue documents, collaborate on items such as board meeting agenda input, meeting minutes and project files.
- Establish a means via sharepoint (or other collaboration tools) to track expenses and project costs in a central location.
- Research how to expand access to mpue specific email addresses that’s affordable.
- Assist in finding a solution to integrate our phone system with our computer system for digital voice messages and automation.
- Set up and train volunteers on software like MS Teams, maintain website and social media content and email communication to families;
- Set up a digital ‘how to’ instruction manual to facilitate training and onboarding of new board members. Including use of office equipment (computer software, printer, copier, digital camera) safely and properly
- Develop a work plan and report to supervisors about the progress of the project;
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must be a youth age between the ages of 18 to 29
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with set up and configuration of Office 365 suite including, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint, Calendar and other collaboration tools.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Quickbooks is an asset.
- Experience with collaboration apps and can bring recommendations to streamline MPUE’s processes and enhance teamwork.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with staff, board members and volunteers
Duration and Compensation:
Part Time 20 hours per week for approximately 10 weeks beginning as soon as possible. Flexible for days and / or evening shifts based on applicant availability.
The project must be completed no later than September 30, 2023.
Pay will be relative to experience (approximately $16 /hr. plus 4% vacation pay.)
